Corporate prayer
1. Encourages
2. Edifies
3. Builds Unity
4. Creates a sense of expectancy
5. Creates love and concern for others
Again I say to you, that if two believers on earth agree (that is, are of one mind, in harmony) about anything that they ask (within the will of God), it will be done for them by my father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered in my name (meeting together as My followers), I am there among them. Matthew 18:19,20 (AMP)
And when they were come in, they went up into an upper room, where abode both Peter, and James, and John, and Andrew, Philip, and Thomas, Bartholomew, and Matthew, James the son of Alphaeus, and Simon Zelotes, and Judas the brother of James. These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren. Acts 1:13,14
Sanctify ye a fast, call a solemn assembly, gather the elders and all the inhabitants of the land into the house of the Lord your God, and cry unto the Lord. Joel 1:14
If we will all make a commitment to be at the church every time there is corporate prayer we will absolutely see changes in hearts and minds and strongholds broken. We will unify in the spirit and move in one mind and one accord as a powerful body of Christ. There is NO power in hell that can stop a unified church with a vision of reaching the lost.
If we want an outreach church/ministry where souls are saved the key is to unify in prayer.
