Motorcycles for Missionaries

The Lord is truly blessing the Azusa StreetRiders ministry! We had a record for giving to motorcycles for missionaries this year with a total of 16,330.64. We are able to purchase 3 motorcycles, 1 for Cuba, 2 for Sierra Leone, and 1 for Tanzania. With the Lords help we are on track to have an offering in 2020 for over 20,000. One of next years recipients will be our missionary in Isreal. I am honored and blessed to be a part of a ministry that focuses on our missionaries and the lost souls all over the world!

THE POWER OF UNITY

Over the last year and 10 months the Azusa Street-Riders ministry has been growing and the Lord has blessed us. We have had  96  new members join, several come back,  27 active chapters and 5 Provisional Chapters. The ASR Philippians has enough members that we are working on structuring them to be self sufficient plus we have added members in Thailand. Last year we were able to purchase 3 motorcycles plus the ones that were donated from our ASR members in Canada. We have had an encouraging note from the UPCI missions department and Bro. Mooney. All exciting things going on!

When this current ASR board first got together we had a lot to learn. There are 4 strong minded people that were trying to agree on what was best for this ministry but we all had our own ideas of how things should work. In the beginning I think we all wondered what on earth we had signed up for LOL. As time went on and through much prayer and seeking Gods will for this ministry we have learned to humble ourselves and work together in unity. We have learned to set our personal opinions and emotions aside and pray for each other. Psalms 133:1-2 AMP Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brothers to dwell together in unity! It is like the precious oil {of consecration} poured on the head, Coming down on the beard, Even the beard of Aaron, Coming down upon the edge of his {priestly} robes {consecrating the whole body}.

As this years election approaches we must seek God and pray that whoever is elected the unity of this board will continue so God can work through us to fulfill His will and purpose in this ministry of reaching the lost in a world that so desperately needs to be reached.

I love and appreciate every one of you and pray the Lord blesses you as we work together in one mind and one accord to continue the vision the Lord gave to Bro Fred Beall to reach the motorcycle world and support our foreign missionaries with the only oneness Apostolic motorcycle ministry. I am honored to be able to serve this ministry in any way I can.

God Bless,

Shopping for cold weather gear

My tip for cold weather riding is buy good gear! You get what you pay for. Make sure you buy something that allows for flexibility by adding or removing layers, and should be waterproof. If cost is a restriction you still can get good gear, but look in different places: garage sales, Craigslist, eBay, and Amazon (don’t forget to use Amazon smile for Azusa StreetRiders when ordering from Amazon). I check motorcycle manufacturer’s sites for items that are on clearance. You can save up to 60% in a lot of cases. Snowmobiling gear is a great option, as it’s high-tech.
If you invest in battery-operated heated gear, be advised this gear does not last long and with the cooler temperatures the batteries lose their power even faster. Gear that you can plug in will be more reliable, but you will have several cords winding through your clothes and you will be tethered to your bike. Do your homework before you buy. Stay warm and have fun!

Amazon Smiles

DON’T FORGET TO USE AMAZON SMILES WHEN ORDERING THROUGH AMAZON TO HELP RAISE MONEY FOR THE AZUSA STREETRIDERS
AmazonSmile is a website operated by Amazon that lets you enjoy the same wide selection of products, low prices, and convenient shopping features as on Amazon.com. The difference is that when you shop on AmazonSmile (smile.amazon.com), the AmazonSmile Foundation will donate 0.5% of the purchase price to the eligible charitable organization of your choice.

Women are Biking More Than Ever!

It’s a very different world out there then it was a couple of decades ago. Women have always ridden motorcycles, but is hasn’t been until recently that SO many women are deciding to sit on the front of the bike and steer their own course! Today, nearly one out of every ten motorcycle owners is a woman! This fact is changing the look and feel of motorcycle riding.

According to the Motorcycle Safety Foundation and the Motorcycle Industry Council, the median age of women who own motorcycles is 42. The majority of first time motorcycle buyers are between the ages of 35 and 50. Many speculate that this is because women of this age have finished raising their children and they are out to do something for themselves. In many cases, this is something they’ve wanted to do for a long time! Fully one-third of the people who take motorcycle safety courses now are women. Manufacturers such as Harley Davidson have begun to tailor their sales tactics toward women. Women are becoming more and more involved in motorcycle riding and this change is changing the look and feel of the sport. Many more women are feeling confident and secure enough to take up the sport and to be successful. Motorcycle riding is fun and it is for everyone!

How I was introduced to ASR

I would like to introduce myself to anyone who doesn’t know me. I have been married to Bro. Michael Theodore (Bro. Theo) for 31 years. We have 3 children, Tiffany (McFarland), Michael Jr. and Nicole (Evans). Bro Michael was introduced to the Azusa Street-Riders in 2010 a month after our 19 year old son Michael Jr. was killed while on his way to swear into the United States Marine Corp. He was killed by a drugged up semi driver that crashed into the Marine car and killed the 3 young men in the back seat. Our son rode a motorcycle with us so we wanted to have a memorial ride. Our awesome Pastor (Scott Ardary) and son-in-law Mike McFarland came up with the idea to take my husband to a biker Sunday in southern Ohio where he met some ASR members including Bro. Beall. He had an instant connection and decided to have a memorial biker Sunday in memory of our son. That was the beginning of our love for the Azusa Street-Riders. We couldn’t be more proud of our children. Michael Jr. was part of the praise team at our church and had been to a ministers conference the week before he went to be with the Lord. Tiffany has been married to Mike McFarland for 10 years and have 4 children. Nicole has been married to Chad Evans for 5 years and has 2 children. They are all going to an apostolic church. Tiffany and Mike are ASR members. The first 4 years Michael was involved in ASR I was just kind of tagging along trying to heal while ASR was a part of his healing. The Lord put a lot of you in my life that were key to my healing and I love you beyond measure. Two years ago the Lord put this ministy in my heart and made a way for me to get involved along side of my husband. I am thankful that I was able to serve as the North Eastern ladies Chaplain and am now able to serve you all as your treasurer for this amazing ministry. I am looking forward to working with you all to grow this ministry and reach the lost. It’s all about saving souls while enjoying each others fellowship riding and reaching out to bikers. The Lord bless each and every one of you as we work together for the kingdom of God!
