The North Jersey Chapter of ASR just ended “Roar to the Shore” in Wildwood, N.J. The dates were September 11, 12 and 13. We set up a booth and witnessed to bikers all day Friday and Saturday and on Sunday church was held at 10am. The following people made this happen: From South Jersey we had Vice President Jimmy Boyle; International Vice President Jim Curley and his wonderful wife Sister Liz Curley; International Secretary Lydia Diaz and her husband Brother Extor Diaz. Our goal is to have a food truck next year and sell food along with our booth. We have been doing this outreach for about six years and would like to continue for many more years. Please pray for this outreach as we had good responses this year. This was the first year that a church service was held at the booth. Pray for an even better turnout next year.

The Atlantic Canada Chapter hosted the 7th Annual “Cruzin’ for Christ” – Motorcycles for Missions Biker Rally on 22 August 2015.
We had 24 bikers in attendance which included a Polaris Slingshot. We know of at least 13 bikers who took a “rain-check” because of thunder / lightening in their areas.
Two separate groups met in their respective regions and then rode to a common meeting place. We had a BBQ lunch and headed out on a group ride with 24 bikers.
I’ve just been in touch with our treasurer. As I prepare this report, given the actual funds that are deposited plus the valid commitments of “It’s in the mail”, we now feel confident that we will be able to purchase SEVEN more motorcycles for use in Ghana and Burkina Faso in West Africa plus one for the Solomon Islands in the South Pacific and a contribution toward a bike for Thailand.
As Bro. Jerry Richardson told us at the ASR National Rally in Maryville, TN, “Motorcycles are making a very positive impact on the Mission Field in Africa.”
Our challenge, as a motorcycle ministry, is to have each ASR Chapter and ASR Member commit to “Ride locally to Impact Globally” so that funding requests don’t get deferred until “Next Year.”

Greeting in the Name of our Lord!

We had our 9th Annual “Cruz’n’ For Christ” motorcycle run on 8/22/15. This was the first event I’ve participated in as Chapter President of Northern Kentucky ASR and I’d like to recognize our members and Chapter board members. They did a great job getting things together this year. A special thanks to our Anthony Storey, our new ASR National President, for making the transition easy and for helping setup everything. We not only raised money for the Wounded Warrior Project and Motorcycles for Missionaries, but are making lots of connections in the community and spreading the Word of God! Most importantly, thanks to God for always being there and keeping us safe and dry this year as we were out doing His will.

From previous years, we continued the theme of the bike show first followed by a “fun run.” Slightly more than 30 bikes registered but several more came to show support and make donations. The ride started in Eminence, KY at the CVS where the bike show was held. Approximately 20 bikes stayed for ride. Leaving Eminence, we proceeded though Shelbyville towards Lawrenceburg. From there we made our way to the State’s capital, Frankfort.

While in Frankfort, we stopped by the Vietnam Memorial to pay our respect to our fallen national heroes. The memorial is a large open concrete pad with the soldiers’ names scattered about in what first appears to a random order. However, each location has a special meaning to it. In the center of the concrete pad is a 10-foot sundial that casts a shadow across the pad. This is what makes the placement of the names special. The shadow crossed the name of the fallen soldier on the day he made the ultimate sacrifice giving each man his own special, memorial once a year. A final note about the Vietnam Memorial is a scripture that surrounds the sundial; Ecclesiastes 3:1-8, “There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens: a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot, a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build, a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance, a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them, a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing, a time to search and a time to give up, a time to keep and a time to throw away, a time to tear and a time to mend, a time to be silent and a time to speak, a time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace.” All gave some, some gave all. May they rest in peace!

One more stop was made before our ride home. We stopped by the Boone Center National Guard Memorial to pay honor to our Guardsmen that faithfully fought for us. While there we meet a CMA group there. After a few minutes of fellowship we had a moment of pray for our soldiers and for safety of the ride.

I would like to give thanks to a few more people; the members of ASR. We had several show up from other chapters to show their support. Not only did we get to spread the Word of God and make connections with the local community, we got to spend time fellowships with one another. I say this without reserve as I type, the ASR is more than a ministry to me, it’s family!

Greetings to all my ASR family,

I just wanted to take a few minutes to tell you how much I love you all, how much I love ASR, and to thank you all for putting your trust in me by voting me into the office as the National Vice President of Azusa StreetRiders.

Most of you know I am a product of ASR. I loved G-d but it was when I was introduced to ASR that my love for G-d and my ministry went to the next level. ASR flat out changed my life so I want to do all I can do to help make this ministry the best it can be. ASR changes lives. It’s that simple!

I will keep this short because you will all be hearing from me on a regular basis this year, but I just want you to know that I am here for anything; questions, concerns, fellowship, prayer, etc. Do not hesitate to contact me for any needs that arise or even if you just want to say hi.

I will do all I can to serve in this position to the best of my abilities and according to His will. This is going to be an amazing year for ASR!

Now let’s go hit those highways, byways and hedges to tell some people about Jesus!

MOKAN Chapter News
MOKAN Chapter of ASR formed October 2014 based out of the Life Church Pastored by Stanley O. Gleason located at 10400 View High drive, Kansas City Missouri 64134. Officers are as follows: Scott Culver President, Pete Olson Vice President, Danny Torres secretary/treasurer, Jamie ONeal Road Captain.

Shortly after forming our chapter we began a Yankee Candle fund raiser to give a needy family gifts and gift cards for Christmas. With the Lord’s help we were able to raise enough money to give, a family of eight, many gift cards for their six children ranging from 13 to 20 allowing them to celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in a way that they wouldn’t have been able to do without our help. Mom and dad were able to celebrate with special gift cards for their personal use.

We have enjoyed a Brat Run to McBee’s in Amsterdam, MO to pick up some specialty bratwurst and enjoy the countryside and fellowship with a dinner at Sneads BBQ in Belton, MO.

We are looking forward to a run to Sikeston to support our ASR brothers on the other side of the state…get to do some riding and witnessing you just never know what God might throw in our path.

We have two “potential members” looking over our program and what we are about. Also have two young ASR “Future Members” we are mentoring; one is a 3-year old and the other is an 8-year old.

Our church, The Life Church of KCMO, is this year’s host to the “Missouri District Men’s Conference.” We are planning a ride to the Harley-Davidson factory in Kansas City, MO since the dates coincide with their open house. We are also celebrating the birth of our Brother Don Patton’s very first granddaughter!

The Northwest Missouri chapter of ASR is expecting great things! We just patched our seventh member of our chapter greenhorn, Jacob Still. We are planning routes for next year’s rides for when ASR comes to Missouri for the national rally.. Our pastor, Joe Jones, has challenged us to be bold .We accept the challenge and in return challenge fellow ASR members to be bold in this motorcycle ministry as well
We enjoyed meeting the ASR members in Tennessee. You all have been a blessing to us. We are super excited for ya’ll to come to Cameron, Mo next year. God is great and greatly to be praised.

Azusa StreetRiders Ashland KY Chapter had our first big event/outing this month. Every year, “Rally on the River” takes place in Ironton, OH and we participate. ASR members came in from Ashtabula (OH) Chapter to just help introduce ASR and reach out to the surrounding biker community. At first things were kind of slow; not many people and new form of outreach for us. The biker world is different than your everyday outreach. A lot involves respect and no one knew who we were. So we rekindled previous contacts with a Trinitarian based motorcycle club and set up a prayer one day that brought all the Christian groups together. After that things changed. Doors opened and we made great contacts with people in the clubs, Christian and secular. Needless to say, we were wondering how the 1% clubs saw us. As some of you know, it can sometimes be touchy with these guys due to patches. As the weekend progressed, we soon found out what we’d been wondering. While conversing with others, a biker from one of the clubs came up and introduced himself. He told us, “We are good,” somewhat of a relief to get that approval. Now we can “talk Jesus” with these guys. They now know we are and that we’re here to help.

The most important and glorious thing to happen involved a young couple we made contact with. The woman is in a Trinitarian ministry. They help operate a motorcycle shop that stays open 24 hours for the Rally. We made stops there going in and out of town every chance we got. We even had a couple of our members get their bikes worked on. They really clicked with the group and they had some questions about God. So every chance around them, we just loved them and talked. Yes it’s that simple! We just simply talked to them about where God brought us from. They told us Saturday night they wanted to come to church. This was great but what happened that Sunday was life-changing. The woman already had been baptized in Jesus’ name and filled with the Holy Ghost. The guy was curious so Sunday, in the middle of worshipping, he decided to get baptized and God filled him with the Holy Ghost! To God be the glory! It was all worth it and we can’t wait for our next outing.

We’d like to thank all ASR members that came and helped us in outreach and those that kept us in prayers! God bless everyone and ride safe.

Greetings in the Name of Jesus!

We’re about a month away from our 5th Annual Azusa StreetRiders International Rally to be held this year in Maryville, Tennessee at First Apostolic Church (Pastor Kenneth Carpenter, ALJC General Superintendent). You will not want to miss it!

Each day will be filled will beautiful rides through the mountains of Tennessee and awesome times of fellowship. Then, to top off the day, we’ll have a great time in the Lord with preaching from Bro. David K. Bernard, the General Superintendent of the UPCI.

We have something new and exciting starting this year at our annual business meeting; a time of recognition for our members. Achievement awards will be presented and I will be explaining how your chapter could earn the very first Azusa StreetRiders’ CHAPTER OF THE YEAR AWARD to be presented at the 2016 International Rally! This award will be presented annually and will be based on a simple point system that will be fair to all chapters, large or small. All the details will be presented at our business meeting on August 1, 2015. Please plan to be there or at least have a representative from your chapter present if you can’t make it.

Don’t miss the awesome time of renewal at the Rally! Each year we are greatly blessed by this event. You can be sure that the Lord will be there with us, so if you can only make one trip this year, this is it! Remember, in addition to our Rally, the area is great for a family vacation…Pigeon Forge, TN (Dollywood) is only about an hour away and Gatlinburg, TN is not much further.

Greetings to you fellow Azusa Streetriders, family members and friends!

“Ride for the Ranch” turned out to be a great benefit ride for the Lighthouse Ranch for Boys in Loranger, Louisiana. In addition to the 70± mile road trip in the country, we had wonderful fellowship and plenty of jambalaya—thanks to Branden Naquin and fellow ASR member Tim Snyder. Pastor Randy Hennigan from the Kenner, Louisiana provided anointed music and a motorcycle “beauty” contest was held and judged by the boys at the Ranch. We also were blessed with a motorcycle skills demonstration by Toby Phillips and his wife from Georgia along with ASR member Steve Amason. Toby and his wife traveled approximately 500 miles to donate their time for this benefit! Thank you Toby and Christy for the great sacrifice and distance you drove to instruct us on motorcycle skills and safety.

Bro. Danny Smith, the director of Lighthouse Ranch for Boys, was able to share the history, present day needs and his burden for the Ranch. Many thanks to Bro. Smith, his staff and the Boys who reside at the Ranch for allowing us to make this event possible. Many bikers attended the Ride for the Ranch fundraiser including the CMA members from Baton Rouge, LA and Slidell, LA. Thank you Southeastern ASR chapter, out of state ASR members and friends for all of your efforts to make this a success! ASR members from Tennessee, Kentucky, Mississippi and Alabama rode in to support this great event, including Bro. Todd Story, ASR National Vice President, and Bro. Robert Thompson, ASR National Secretary.

Again, I extend my gratitude to you all, but most importantly thanks to our Lord Jesus Christ for a safe and prosperous event! Looking forward to next year!
