2016 Back to the Basics

Praise the Lord Azusa StreetRiders,
We are in the 5th month of 2016 already, we are seeing awesome growth already this year.  In the last week of April we added three new chapters,  one in New Philadelphia Ohio with 8 new members , one in Evansville Indiana, with 5 new members and one in Ball Louisiana with 8 members.  God is Blessing us!!

I’m trusting that the Lord is not done with the revival He has sent us this year, but we must do our part. Lets bind together in prayer and keep on sharing the Gospel.  2016 can be our greatest year to date!!

Jesus is coming soon, lets not give up on reaching souls till He calls us home. God placed each of us in this ministry for a reason and that is to reach the lost! It’s not about bikes, riding or what organization we belong too, the Azusa StreetRiders is about JESUS!

Back to the basics in 2016 should be our mind set: Prayer, fasting, reading His Word and apostolic worship should be included in our activities.

In three months, we will be gathering for our 2016 National Rally and the excitement is building!  The Lord has blessed us greatly each year, with a great time of fellowship, new friends and most of all ,His presents. You will not want to miss this years Rally!
At our National business meeting we will be having some elections, so please try to attend. The two offices will be Secretary,  currently held by Bro. Robert Thompson and Vice President,  currently held by Bro. Jim Curley

Each of these positions are National Board positions and need to be considered carefully and with prayer. These positions are very important and take  dedication of personal time and sometimes personal funds, due to travel. All qualifying members are eligible to nominate someone or hold office. We will be posting qualifications on the website for each position.

The Cameron Missouri Chapter has put together some nice rides for us this year and on Thursday Aug. 4th 2016 during our ride we will be visiting the Harley Davidson Factory in KC. for a tour of the plant.

Vicky and I will be visiting the Cameron chapter in May and we are looking forward to seeing y’all at the rally August 4 – 7 2016

I appreciate all you do for the Lord

4th Annual Bind The Strongman March 2016

On March 4th and 5th 2016 the Azusa StreetRiders held their 4th Annual Bind The  Strongman all night prayer service., in Cincinnati  Ohio.

Bind The Strongman is the Azusa StreetRiders kick off event for the year and God Blesses us each year.

We had approximately 50 in attendance,  as we prayed and worshiped through the night. The Holy Ghost was in the house, many were touched by God this year.

We were treated to an awesome service in the morning when Bro.  Joel Urshan  preached a message from the Lord. I have attached a recording for the message for your enjoyment.

I look forward to next years Bind the Strongman prayer service.

God Bless

Words of Encouragement for 2016

We are off and running in 2016 AND it’s already been very productive. We have many events scheduled and have already seen many new member sign on to help win the lost! God is good!!
Just a note of encouragement..
I’ve talked to members in the past year that have been discouraged about how slow they are adding new members in their area. Please know all areas are different, some grow fast, and some take a little more time to see the increase.
The bible says in 1 Corinthians 3-9
3 “And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ.
2 I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able.
3 For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men?
4 For while one saith, I am of Paul; and another, I am of Apollos; are ye not carnal?
5 Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers by whom ye believed, even as the Lord gave to every man?
6 I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase.
7 So then neither is he that planteth anything, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase.
8 Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labor.
9 For we are labourers together with God: ye are God’s husbandry, ye are God’s building.”
As you can see, all we do is sow the seed and God will do the rest. So continue sharing Jesus with everyone you come across and see the miracles of the Lord.
Don’t get discouraged about how slow your chapter is growing. It’s not about the size of the chapter or about the speed it grows. Azusa StreetRiders aren’t about motorcycles or riding, although we do enjoy the activity, it is just a tool to help reach people for Jesus! To do so, we must help people to see the importance of a relationship with Him. As your chapter grows you are adding new soul winning-bikers to your team.
Luke 14:23 says, “And the lord said unto the servant, ‘Go out into the highways and hedges and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.’”

Greetings

“2015 NEXT LEVEL”
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year Azusa StreetRiders!!
2015 just came to a close and we are now in 2016.
We had a motto through 2015 that was tagged on to a lot of communications between us— “2015 Next Level.” Let me assure you, that is exactly what we accomplished!! Job well done, Azusa StreetRiders!!
I’m excited about our 2016 National Rally. It will be held in Cameron, Missouri at Bro. Joe Jones’ Church. You will not want to miss it! Bro. Peter Gray, (Missionary to Haiti), will be our Thursday night speaker for the “Motorcycles for Missionaries” Service. Bro. Kenneth Carpenter, Pastor of First Apostolic Church, Maryville, Tennessee and ALJC General Superintendent, will be our Friday night speaker.
We are equally as excited about having the location for the 2017 National Rally in place already; Bro. David Gilbert’s church in Denison, Texas. (August 03 through August 05, 2017).
We cannot stop pushing now. With the winter months upon us, it’s the perfect time to get out there and share Jesus with everyone we see. Reach out to other Apostolic churches with riders. Luke 14:23 “And the lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.”
I pray In the Mighty Name of Jesus, that you and your families are greatly blessed and that the Lord keeps you all safe.

God Bless,
Rev. Anthony Storey

A word from our Chaplain

There is an urgency!

One of our ASR families is in need of immediate prayer. They have a 14-year-old girl that is struggling with spirits that are causing her to cut herself & to express herself in very dark ways. This young lady received the Holy Ghost when she was six (6) years old & has a heart that is very sensitive to spiritual things. She lives her Apostolic faith in a difficult public school environment where she is bullied for her faith & because of how she dresses. Although she continues to love God & invite friends to church, she is involved in a strong supernatural battle that threatens her very spiritual existence. She is very talented in art but as she struggles her sketches becomes more & more dark.

There is an urgency…& on the heels of our first Spiritual Warfare Conference held last week in Louisiana, we are “Armed & Engaged!”

While this wonderful family enters this time of spiritual warfare for this child, I am calling for all of our members & their families to bind together in prayer & fasting, as if this were our very own young person, & not let them face it alone. Let’s stand in the gap for this young lady. Her eternity may just hinge on our response.

There are so many other needs and/or similar situations within our organization. So, if your heart is stirred by this family’s plight OR if you know of another pressing need in our ASR family, please join with me on a 3-day prayer & fasting chain next week (Wednesday, November 4th – Friday, November 6th) for deliverance, victory & healing. I have also posted in this month’s publication of Rumblings our current list of prayer requests that we can fast & pray over as well. Also, if you would desire one, we have prayer cloths available that can be anointed, prayed over & sent to you. So, during this unified 3-day venture of prayer & fasting, you can fast one, two or all three days; your choice. But, together, let’s see what the Lord will do!

Please text, call or e-Mail if you intend to be involved.

Be blessed!
