We are winding down from a busy riding season, and soon will be heading into the winter months. It’s a time that no one wants to think about, because it means that there’s less wind therapy and more snow shoveling. Summer riding season cannot last forever, unless you are fortunate to be in the right geographical area that permits year round riding. We are reminded in Genesis 8:22:  “While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.” Seasons come, and seasons go.

This year has been quite active, with severe weather, heavy rains, and storms. It seemed like, every other week, there was a severe weather pattern moving through the area. One thing is for sure. If you have done any serious amount of riding in your life, you have had your fair share of riding in the rain. I’ve ridden in light rain, heavy rain, thunderstorms, hail storms, and snow. A few members had a close encounter with a tornado in Nebraska a few years ago. Life is an adventure!

Sometimes, I feel a little like the song, “I’m no stranger to the rain.” I often joke with the Ohio members, that I can have perfect weather, until I cross the Ohio River, and then it’s inevitable that I’m getting rained on.

There is something that is unique to bikers, that those caging do not experience. You can feel the change in the weather, before you see the weather change. I have been riding many times, and suddenly, you feel the temperature drop. The sun may still be shining, and everything may still look normal, but you can feel a shift taking place that lets you know, something is about to happen.

As the Apostolic Motorcycle Ministry of Jesus Christ, I believe we can also feel a shifting in the Spirit, that something is about to happen. As we fire up our bikes heading out into the world to witness of the grace and mercy of God, we can feel the temperature changing. We can feel the change in the spiritual weather, before we see the weather change.

I believe we are feeling the temperature change before the greatest revival the world has ever witnessed. The former, and the latter rain together. God is setting the stage, to pour out His Spirit upon all flesh before He returns. Lives will be transformed, hearts will be restored, the broken will be made whole, and the bound will be set free!

I’m reminded of an old song:

I feel the rain I feel the rain I feel it falling down on me
I feel the rain I feel the rain I feel it falling down on me
The former and the latter rain together
And I’m not talking about the weather
The Holy Ghost rain is falling down on me

As bikers of The Name, it’s not time to put the bikes up and take the cage. It’s time to prepare for the harvest of souls that God is about to send.

Don’t shy away from the rain, but head out, expecting and preparing to be a part of End Time revival that is on the way!
